The axis of the route is the Great Masurian Lakes Trail - a unique system of lakes and canals on a European scale. The length of the loop will be 310 km. In the north, it will connect with the Eastern Green Velo Route (the longest route of its kind in Poland).
The Mazurian Cycle Loop runs through Stare Sady, where Robert's Hotel Port**** is located. It is the longest and most picturesque cycling route in Masuria, from which you can admire beautiful landscapes, learn about local attractions, interesting events and unique natural places. The route will have an appropriate infrastructure: 18 Cycle Service Places, shelters, sanitary facilities, canopies, as well as an area suitable for relaxation.
Our hotel has a bicycle rental facility, including children's bicycles and bicycle seats. We therefore encourage guests to try out the route, which is scheduled for completion in 2023, but most sections already allow for comfortable and safe riding. If you are looking for accommodation because you are going on a longer cycling trip, you are also welcome at Robert's Hotel Port****.
The Masurian Lake District is one of Poland's most valuable landscape and nature areas. Visiting it on two wheels has so far only been possible through forest roads and roads with heavy traffic. Residents and tourists who are in love with Masuria have finally been able to enjoy genuine cycle paths.
The routes making up the Mazurian Cycling Loop allow visitors to admire this charming region with its characteristic lakes and forests, historical monuments and architecture from the Prussian times, including the "Mazurian fortifications". The loop is adjacent to protected areas such as the Mazurian Landscape Park, Łuknajno Nature Reserve, Piska Forest, Dobskie Lake, the Mazurian Turtle Refuge Baranowo and many others.
Cyclists will have the opportunity to enjoy not only nature, but also culture! The Mazurian Cycling Loop passes by the historic revolving bridge in Giżycko, the 19th century Boyen Fortress in Giżycko, the oldest church in Mazury in Miłki, the amphitheatre in Mrągowo, and the Pranie forester's lodge. It will be worthwhile to take a break for a canoeing trip or a cruise along the Great Masurian Lakes Trail on the ships of our hotel. Summer abounds in events such as the Country Picnic, Mazurian Cabaret Night or the Mazury Air Show.
