An interesting trail leads from Mikołajki to the nearby, unique in Europe, reserve "Jezioro Łuknajno". It is a true pearl among Masurian lakes, as it is home to around 1,000 pairs of mute swans. It is worth mentioning that Łuknajno is located in the Masurian Landscape Park. The Park also includes a significant part of the Pisz Forest, known as the Great Pyrenees. It is the largest primeval forest in Masuria and one of the largest in Poland. In it, you can admire the meandering Krutynia River - ideal for canoeing, mysterious forest lakes, fog-shrouded meadows, rare plant and animal species.... Nothing here is tidy, contrived. Wandering through the forest, you will smell the scent of nature and marvel at the primeval wildness of nature.
Not only Mikolajki. What else is worth seeing while in Stare Sady?
From Stare Sady, it is worth travelling to Mrągowo - the capital of the Mrągowo Lake District and countryside. It is a picturesquely located town between lakes Czos and Juno. There is no shortage of restaurants, squares, parks, promenades and historic tenement houses. Cyclical festivals and concerts are held here (e.g. the Country Picnic or Mazurian Cabaret Night).
