Knowledge for a start
The first day of the event was marked by education and sharing of experience. A training course and lecture, led by experienced sailing coach Stanislaw Mickiewicz, provided participants with valuable knowledge and allowed for an exchange of experience between more and less experienced sailors.
Opening ceremony
The opening ceremony of the regatta, attended by the Starost of the Mragowo District, Barbara Kuźmicka-Rogala, and the organisers, Mr Dariusz Bałdyga and Mr Robert Śliwiński, was a moment full of tradition and joyful excitement before the upcoming struggles. The hoisting of the flag and the striking of the bell symbolised not only the start of the competition, but also the celebration of the spirit of the sailing community.
Challenges and Fair Play on the Wave
On Saturday, despite the pouring rain and temporary uncertainty, 57 crews in 5 boat classes took to the waves of Lake Tałty, where a unique and exciting struggle awaited them. The wind conditions proved to be the ally of the participants, adding adrenaline to the already fierce competition.
It must be emphasised that the regatta is not only about sporting competition, but above all, about the unique atmosphere, fair play and genuine enjoyment of every moment spent on the water. The participants not only competed, but also shared experiences, supported and entertained each other, creating a unique, truly sailing community.
Summary and Sailing Fun
The highlight of the event was the summary and awards ceremony for the most outstanding sailors of the day, held in the tavern of Robert's Port Hotel. Laughter, applause and genuine congratulations filled the space, emphasising that in sailing, joy and friendship are as important as trophies and medals.
The end of the regatta, however, was not the end of the attractions. The tavern by the harbour became a place to celebrate together to the sounds of well-known and well-loved shanties, and later the participants moved to the dance floor of the nightclub, where energetic partying continued until late into the night.
Under the Sailing Banner of Friendship
The first edition of the Robert's Port Cup showed that sailing, is a sport full of passion, adventure, but also a real, welcoming community. The atmosphere of the event, fantastic organisation and the unique character of the struggles on the waters of Lake Tałty will remain in the memories of the participants for a long time, and Robert's Port Hotel is already starting preparations for the next edition to invite everyone back for an unforgettable sailing experience
